DOES IT WORK? ~ THE MALE GROOMING REVIEW

Can micro needling stop hair loss and regrow hair in men?

Micro needling is an effective, minimally invasive treatment for men and women suffering from general hair loss or thinning as well as those suffering from androgenic alopecia (pattern baldness), alopecia areata and alopecia barbae.

Micro needling seems to be the new craze that thousands of men (and women) are trying in an attempt to combat hair loss, and stimulate the function of hair growth.

What exactly is micro needling?

Micro needling involves the use of a derma roller, which is a device with small needles that causes minor skin injuries. While used as an anti-aging skin treatment, micro needling may also be a method of treatment for hair loss.

The process is thought to work by wounding the skin. As the skin repairs, it produces protein and collagen, which in turn, stimulates hair follicle activity.

Does micro needling work?

Micro needling has been found to be relatively effective for treating hair loss. Do not expect miracles from this treatment method, but significant results can be achieved from micro needling, particularly when used in conjunction with other hair loss treatments such as minoxidil and/or KGF Serum

How to micro needle for hair growth

Micro needling is easy. Simply purchase a derma roller, or a derma stamp (whichever you prefer), and use it on your scalp (around the hairline and crown region).  For a 0.5mm needle, use twice a week, and for the 1mm needle, use just once a week.

You should start to notice results at around five to six months.

There is also the option of getting micro needling sessions done at hair clinics, but this can be quite expensive. As long as you are careful, and consistent, micro needling at home should more than suffice.
