My daughter Adalyn is 8 years old and it is getting harder and harder to know what to get her for birthday and Christmas gifts. She is a mature 8 year old who loves doing things like crafts and I wanted to share some ideas of things that I think would be perfect for an 8-year-old girl.
I love shopping at Wicked Uncle. I have been shopping there since Adalyn was about 1 or 2 and love how it is organized. You can narrow your search for gift ideas by age and by it being for a boy or girl. I love that I can easily click age 8 under “girl” and get a bunch of gift ideas. I like doing the same for my 5-year-old son and for my 3-year-old daughter.
On the Wicked Uncle site, you can also search by category of toy such as adventurer, books, educational, games, outdoor fun, STEM, creativity and many more. Honestly, this has helped me shopping for my own kids and for gifts for others many times.
We are obsessed with these pens that change color when you use an invisible ink marker on them. Adalyn has been using her set for 2 years and the markers still work great. These are great for the kid who loves to draw and color.
Okay, mom might find this toy a little annoying but my kids have had this voice changer for years and still think it is hilarious to change their voices. It has 4 different voice options to choose from.
On the top of my daughter’s 8th birthday list was a friendship bracelet kit. It is a lot of fun for her to be able to make her own bracelets.
Can you tell that arts and crafts are my daughter’s favorite things? She loved learning to sew with this kit. She started using it at age 7 with some help and felt a ton of pride being able to make me a cell phone case!
Shh! Don’t tell her but I am getting Adalyn this bracelet activity tower for Christmas and I know she is going to love it. She needs things to do during quiet time at home on the weekends and this will be perfect.
We love to go biking and this light with a bunch of different light options and sounds is a fun choice and a great way to be safe while biking.
My daughter likes butterflies and I think that this magic painting kit looks like a lot of fun! It has a wax outline to make it easier to paint.
My kids got a collapsible water bottle recently and fought over it so I know that this would make a great gift. We love to hike so this would be perfect on a family hike to put in her hiking backpack.
